BRIGHTON, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of the truck driver who survived a crash on a suburban Rochester highway that claimed the life of another driver.
State police say 25-year-old Daniel Baker of Wyoming, N.Y., suffered a dislocated hip when he was ejected from his tanker truck after he crashed off the westbound lanes of Interstate 490 around 1 p.m. Monday in the town of Brighton.
Troopers say Baker's truck rolled over a concrete barrier and fell onto the northbound lanes of State Route 590 below, hitting a box truck.
The driver of the second truck was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn't been released.
Route 590 near the I-490 split remained closed in both directions until around 9:45 p.m. Monday.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
