The American Red Cross has sent an Emergency Response Vehicle based in Niagara Falls to Central New York to assist in recovery from recent flooding.

Volunteers Joy Bidlack, of East Aurora, and Diane Sargent, of Lockport, picked up the vehicle from Red Cross headquarters in Buffalo on Monday and drove to Utica. They will deliver food, water, cleanup kits and other supplies to people in hard-hit areas, primarily in Oneida and Herkimer counties.
