In a crucial game between two teams jockeying for playoff position, the Western New York Flash could not gain ground Sunday – but they also didn’t lose any. The Flash played to a 0-0 draw at FC Kansas City.

Both teams earned one point. The No. 4 Flash (6-3-5) have the final National Women’s Soccer League playoff spot as it stands, and Kansas City (7-4-4) is two points ahead in third place. The three teams ahead of WNY have played more games than the Flash, who have four regular season matchups remaining.

The Flash have been hot lately. They fell 1-0 to Chicago on Thursday, but before that WNY had a nine-game unbeaten streak.

The regular season runs through the end of July.
