Part of an expressway in Erie County and a bridge in Chautauqua County will be named after fallen servicemen under bills signed Wednesday by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo.

A portion of the Lockport (I-990) Expressway in Amherst will be renamed Army Staff Sgt. William R. Wilson III Memorial Highway. The Getzville soldier died in 2012 in Afghanistan, where he was training soldiers and police. A 2003 graduate of Williamsville North High School, he was on his third combat tour.

In Chautauqua County, the Route 394 bridge that crosses the Southern Tier (I-86) Expressway in North Harmony will be renamed John Stow Vietnam Veterans and MIA Memorial Bridge. Marine Pfc. John Stow of Ashville died in Vietnam in 1968. He was 18.
