America needs to get its priorities in order
I read in the June 30 edition of The News that a convicted cop killer’s defense has cost the taxpayers at least $1.6 million and “the meter is still running.” A 2008 study found the average cost of defending a federal death case is more than $620,000, and typically exceeds a million dollars.
Recently, Medicare has begun denying claims for my chiropractic treatments. Also, I must now sign an agreement to pay for blood tests ordered by my doctor if Medicare deems it too frequent or unnecessary. Does our government favor killers over taxpaying citizens? Seems that way!
