The University at Buffalo Alumni Association has elected the organization’s first out-of-town president.

Carol Gloff, of Natick, Mass., was elected to serve a two-year term as president of the association, which represents more than 230,000 alumni around the world.

Gloff earned her undergraduate degree in pharmacy from UB in 1975 and went on to earn a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of California at San Francisco in 1984.

Gloff is founder and principal of Gloff & Associates, a consulting firm in the medical products industry.
