Generous residents help out great cause
This is in response to the article regarding the garage sale in Spaulding Lake. Our Tri-Five Car Club of Western New York has a show every July and I’m always looking for items for our ticket auction.
And so off I went to Spaulding Lake. After informing one resident earlier in the day that our show benefits AROCC (Association for Research of Childhood Cancer), he called me a few hours later to come back and pick up a bag full of “build a bears,” all beautifully dressed, that any child would love to cuddle.
At an estate sale in East Amherst several weeks prior, I was given books, games, videos, sports equipment and much more after mentioning our show and charity. So, generosity and compassion does exist. We just have to hope it’s contagious.
