The Hamburg Central School Board has called a special meeting for 6 p.m. today, and one of the motions would fire the district’s law firm, Harris Beach.

The board, meeting for the first time in the new school year, also will hire new counsel, according to the agenda.

Another resolution regards the employment status of Superintendent Steven A. Achramovitch, who last week announced his retirement, effective Aug. 9.

Another resolution would place a hold on all employee transfers “until further administrative and legal review.”

Today’s meeting will be in the administration building, 5305 Abbott Road.
