FORESTVILLE – Progress on the water project in Forestville was reported to the mayor and trustees last week at the regular meeting in the Forestville Municipal Building.

Board members approved a motion to award the contract for phase two of the project to Northrup Construction with a bid of $1,938,025.

The award was made on the recommendation of Clark, Patterson, Lee, engineers for the project. This phase of the project is scheduled to begin in about six weeks.

Mayor Linda Aures was authorized to contract with former Village Attorney Michael Bolander for legal services for the water project.

Bolander is conducting the services free of additional charge, according to the mayor. She said the cost of copies and other secretarial fees will be absorbed by the clerk’s office.
