Two more American Red Cross volunteers from Western New York have been sent to Central New York to provide help in the wake of massive flooding there Friday.

Carmella Bartimole, of Olean, will work in disaster mental health, while Norm Kehl, of Strykersville, will do disaster assessment. In all, 10 Western New York volunteers are assisting.

The Red Cross opened three shelters in Central New York over the weekend to provide meals, snacks, comfort and relief supplies. More than 15 counties were affected.
