Schools must find way to keep music playing

Since the children of Buffalo stood on the steps of City Hall pleading for their instrumental instruction and bands to be restored, good news was received about the $15 million coming to the city from the settlement on casino revenues. Some of this money could be shared with the school system in a designated way. Paying down old debts with these funds does not have the kind of impact that helping children and improving the quality of life in the city for families has. I hope those with the power to make a difference will do so.
