NIAGARA FALLS – A Niagara Falls home with eight external security cameras was unable to record the person or persons who cut fiber optic wire to all of the cameras in a 24-hour period. Damage was listed at $2,000.

The 45-year-old victim in the 3200 block of Michigan Avenue said he discovered at 11:30 p.m. Monday that wires to four external cameras were cut. He said when he returned home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday he found wires had been cut to four more cameras.

The victim said all of the security footage is recorded and saved to a hard drive in his home, but when police reviewed footage with the victim up to the point where the vandalism occurred, the cameras did not pick up who committed the act.
