Truth does not change with passage of time

I would like to respond to the June 16 letter, “Church should join the 21st century.” The tone of the letter was very insulting and offensive to all Catholics.

The laws of nature are binding to everyone and they are defined in the 10 Commandments. The fifth commandment is “Thou shall not kill.” Destroying the child in the womb is murder. God is the author of all life. He determines when it begins and when it ends. God’s laws are superior to man’s laws. Man does not have the right to determine when life begins and when it ends.

Even if everyone in the country is in favor of destroying life in the womb, it is still wrong; against nature and against the law of God. Truth does not change with the passing of time. Man will self-destruct if he acts against the law of God.
