The SPCA Serving Erie County is celebrating Independence Day by lowering the adoption fees for all animals to $17.76 now through July 6. For cats one year and older and dogs 10 years and older, the adoption fee is waived completely.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, de-worming, microchip ID, flea control medication, the first physical exam at a veterinarian of choice, a feline leukemia test and 30 days free veterinary insurance.

The special adoption fee is in effect at most SPCA locations, including the Town of Tonawanda shelter at 205 Ensminger Road and the SPCA adoption sites in the Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga and Eastern Hills Mall in Clarence. An exception is Tabby Town in McKinley Mall in Blasdell.
