The Amherst Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Town Hall, 5583 Main St., to discuss several issues.
Two families will appear before the board to request permission to raise chickens in their backyards. The board in April denied another resident’s application for a chicken permit – the first such application – before reversing its decision.
At the same meeting, the Zoning Board is expected to hear from residents in the Livingston Parkway area who are upset about a proposed Hyatt Place hotel being built near their homes.
The residents are seeking reversal of town approvals for the controversial project and are also challenging the plan in court.
