Islanders are expected to flock to the river today to celebrate Father’s Day with a classic car show, lawnmower race and memorial 5k.

• The Town Board will meet for workshops Monday at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday at 8 a.m., Wednesday at 8 a.m. and for its regular meeting Monday at 8 p.m. in Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road. There will be two public hearings at the regular meeting Monday night, regarding the creation of a lighting district in the Park Place housing development and final plan approval of the Grand Park Vue Subdivision.
• The Grand Island Memorial Library, 1715 Bedell Road, will be holding a series of adult computer classes on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. beginning Friday June 21st.
