The Buffalo Turners team of Carmynn Biggie, Grace Clement, Kylie Newton, Camryn Smith, Madison Piggot, Kayla Butler, Avery White, Kayla Hervey, Elizabeth Graney and Meena Rose participated in the Level 4 State Championship held June 8-9 at CNY Gym Centre in Syracuse.
Smith won floor exercise (9.4), placed second on balance beam (9.625) and seventh on uneven bars (9.45) to finish second all-around (37.5). Piggott followed in third place in all-around (37.5) with fourth-place finishes on vault (9.45), balance beam (9.45) and floor exercise (9.35). Biggie placed fifth on the balance beam (9.325), Graney was sixth on the balance beam (9.3). Clement finished seventh in the vault (9.325) and eighth in all-around (36.35) and Butler was eighth in the vault (9.325).

The fifth Tom Borrelli Memorial Award Golf Tournament presented by the Buffalo Bandits will be held July 1 at Holland Hills.
The tournament is a 10 a.m. shotgun scramble and the $100 cost includes golf, cart, lunch at the turn, dinner, one-hour open bar and a souvenir gift.
There will also be prizes, auctions, raffles and drawings. Golfers who want to play with News staffers can do so at a higher cost. BASEBALL: WNY Fundamental Baseball Camp will be taking place Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 at Brighton Park in the Town of Tonawanda. BASKETBALL: The 11th annual Wilson Harbor Hoops 3-on-3 Tournament will be held at Clark’s Park in Wilson at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10. Clark’s Park is adjacent to the Wilson Boathouse Restaurant.
