Assemblyman Sean Ryan, D-Buffalo, wants to know what people think about the state Department of Transportation’s plans to redesign the Scajaquada Expressway Corridor (Route 198) and what should be done to improve them.

He has posted a form for comments on his Assembly website and has scheduled a community meeting on the project at 5 p.m. June 26 in the West Room in Bulger Communication Center on the SUNY Buffalo State campus.

Ryan notes that the DOT originally set out to make the area around the Scajaquada more pedestrian friendly and make the highway more like a parkway. Updated plans, he says, fall short of those goals.
