boater safety course: The Chautauqua County Office of the Sheriff will hold a state approved Boater Safety Course from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club, 1 N. Mullet St., Dunkirk. No preregistration required. Courses are free to anyone age 10 to 17. Attendees age 18 and over will pay a $10 fee. Parents of attendees under 18 must sign a release. NATURE WALK: Friends of Reinstein Nature Preserve invites the public to Meander in the Woods from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve, Cheektowaga.
