MUMFORD – The Genesee Country Museum will turn back the calendar 200 years for a pair of events June 22 and 23.

A War of 1812 Bicentennial program will feature re-enactors camping, drilling and target shooting with flintlock rifles. There will be re-enactors representing the crew of the USS Constitution and a military concert by Old Fort Niagara musicians.

It’s also Jane Austen Weekend, celebrating the publication of her novel “Pride and Prejudice” in 1813.

There will be a Regency Era fashion show, a period dance demonstration, carriage rides, a marathon reading of the book and an 1813 Netherfield Ball from 6 to 9 p.m. June 22. Reservations are required for the ball. Call (585) 284-8222.
