A Buffalo man who wound up on the wrong side of the law twice in less than six months has been sentenced to 3½ years in state prison by State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller, Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III reported Monday.
In the first case, Donald Green, 22, of Sweeney Street, pleaded guilty Dec. 13 to fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, was placed on judicial supervision and entered into a drug treatment program, Sedita said.
On March 11, Green was arrested again when he was found with a loaded revolver during a traffic stop. He told police he picked it up in a field and planned to sell it. On May 10, he pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, Sedita said, the highest charge he would have faced if he had gone to trial.
