Erratic driving in Buffalo on Saturday led to drug charges for a Grand Island man, Buffalo police said.

Somer O. Abdellatif, 25, struck a parked car while driving on Forest Avenue in the city around noon, police said.

Police responding to the traffic call found two envelopes of heroin in plain view, they said. Abdellatif faces drug charges and driving while ability impaired.

Later Saturday, a Richmond Avenue man was slapped with drug charges after police said they found him in a drug haven with paraphernalia in his pockets.

George Doster, 62, was heading east on West Ferry Street, which police described as an area “with numerous drug arrests and complaints,” when he admitted to officers his prior heroin use and that he had a needle in his pocket, police said.

Officers also recovered two syringes and one heroin mixing cup from his coat pocket. He was arrested around 5 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
