NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – The Journey Behind the Falls attraction reopened to visitors Thursday afternoon, six days after an elevator problem left 100 people stranded for 2 1/2 hours on the lower observation platform below the Horseshoe Falls, the Niagara Parks Commission reported.

A parks spokeswoman said Otis Elevator Co. repaired and inspected the Journey’s two elevators and officials from the Technical Standards and Safety Authority for Ontario approved them for reopening.
