Jodi-Ann Robinson scored the tying goal in extra time and the Western New York Flash earned a 2-2 tie with the Boston Breakers before 2,124 at Dilboy Stadium in Somerville, Mass.
Robinson had entered the game as a substitute in the 72nd minute for the Flash, 3-2-2. She scored off a pass from Katherine Reynolds.
Abby Wambach had given the Flash a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute with her fifth goal of the season, tying her for the lead in the National Women’s Soccer League. But Lianne Sanderson scored just before halftime and Sydney LeRoux’s tally in the 64th minute put Boston (3-2-3) ahead.
The Flash play again on Saturday, traveling to New Jersey to face Sky Blue FC for a 7 p.m. game.
