Defenseman Sean Federow is the latest Buffalo Junior Sabre to hook up with a Division I hockey team, according to team officials.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder from Niagara Falls will attend American International of the Atlantic Hockey Association.
Federow recorded 11 goals and 43 points in 52 regular-season games for the Junior Sabres, helping the team post the second-best record during the season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. He added two goals and four points in 10 playoff games.
OJHL MVP Tyler Gjurich (Maine), forward Josh Kielich (Canisius) and goaltender Parker Gahagen (Army) are among Federow’s Junior Sabres teammates who have already committed to Division I programs.
