Two men were charged with driving while intoxicated early Saturday, following unrelated accidents in Erie County, sheriff’s deputies reported.

Daniel T. O’Hare, 45, of Williamsville, was charged with felony DWI following a one-car crash on Crittenden Road in the Town of Alden at about 1:30 a.m. When Deputy Gene Nati arrived at the scene, O’Hare was unable to say what he had hit.

O’Hare, who suffered multiple injuries, was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, where deputies secured a blood sample to determine his blood-alcohol content. Further information about his condition wasn’t available this morning.

O’Hare was charged with a felony count of DWI because of a previous conviction, as well as unspecified traffic violations, deputies said. He was issued tickets to appear in Alden Town Court.

The other accident occurred at about 5 a.m. on South Protection Road in the Town of Sardinia, where a car ended up in a small creek.

Justin J. Compo, 23, of West Falls, was charged with DWI and unspecified traffic violations, Compo had a blood-alcohol content of .16, Deputy George Avery reported.

Compo was released on tickets to appear in Sardinia Town Court.
