NORFOLK, Va. — The change of scenery did the Buffalo Bisons well on Friday.

After being swept in a four-game series at Durham, the Herd continued their eight-game road trip by experiencing victory for the first time – earning a 6-3 win over the Norfolk Tides before 8,033 at Harbor Park.

The Bisons scored in each of the first three innings en route to a 5-0 lead. Moises Sierra’s double drove in Mike McCoy in the first.

An inning later, Mike Nickeas doubled home Ryan Langerhans and came around on McCoy’s triple.

In the third, Luiz Jimenez’s RBI double made it 4-0 and he later scored on Andy LaRoche’s sacrifice fly.

That was more than enough to help Bisons starter Dave Bush earn his team-high sixth win. Bush scattered six hits and yielded two runs in 5∏ innings.

Sierra went 2 for 3, scoring twice, while Jimenez (3 for 5) increased his International League-leading RBI total to 46.

The series continues today with former American League All-Star Ricky Romero (0-1, 13.85 ERA) starting for the Herd for the fifth time this season. Romero failed to get out of the first inning in his last start Monday, yielding eight earned runs in two-thirds of an inning.
