One of the best things about summer concerts in our area? The abundance of free shows. Most days of the week, music lovers can catch a free concert whether its a community event at area parks or larger national shows such as the Buffalo Place Thursday at Canalside and the Lockport Canal Concert Series.
There are nearly daily events, from music to theater and family offerings at Canalside and the Erie County Fair has free concerts with paid admission (see our concert listings for more information). Look for the free M&T Plaza event series, noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday downtown. Though many of the community concerts are yet to be announced, here are just a few of the free summer series.
