OLAF FUB SEZ: In the estimation of French author Honore de Balzac, born on this date in 1799, “In diving to the bottom of pleasure, we bring up more gravel than pearls.”

Beautiful wisteria blossoms

in the center of spring

Lavender blooms cascading

attract the robins to sing

alongside the columbine

a melodious reverie

Abundant picturesque wisteria

A garden’s favorite fragrant mystery
