Mrs. Kaska has been an active and dedicated volunteer of the Lancaster School District for the past 12 years. She and her husband, Tom, are the proud parents of Brett, a junior, and Jacob, a sixth grader. Mrs. Kaska’s volunteer roles included Co-President and Activities Coordinator for the John A. Sciole PTO, Parent Representative for five years for the Committee on Preschool Education, as well as a Parent Representative for the District Advisory Council and Executive Committee Member for the William Street PTO. Mrs. Kaska continues to serve the district as a Parent Representative for the Executive Stop Committee, the District PTO and is a Director for LEAF (Lancaster Educational and Alumni Foundation). Mrs. Kaska enjoys spending time with her family and is an active member of the Barnabas Athletic Association.

Mrs. Kaska’s active role as a volunteer and parent at board meetings for the past 12 years has given her a strong background in how our district works, what is needed to remain successful and to how to remain fiscally responsible. While the times ahead of us are economically tough and uncertain, it is Mrs. Kaska’s desire to try and maintain all of the current exceptional educational programs that Lancaster offers so that each student continues to reach their full academic potential. Areas of interest that Mrs. Kaska would like to learn more about and focus on are the changing requirements and demands from the state on state assessments and teacher evaluations with the Common Core Standard of Learning as well as working with the State Education Department to be certain that state funding for our district remains intact and solid for years to come.
