More mobile Internet users on Grand Island and in Niagara Falls will have more access to faster speeds, thanks to a recent upgrade by AT&T.

The telecommunications company has upgraded two mobile Internet cell sites. The upgrades have expanded 4G coverage to Buckhorn State Park, Veterans Park, Bedell Road Park and Interstate 190 on Grand Island. In Niagara Falls, it expands coverage to areas along the Niagara river, Interstate 190, LaSalle Expressway, Niagara Falls Boulevard and the Robert Moses Parkway.

The improvements are part of the company’s Project Velocity IP, a $14 billion investment over three years to expand broadband networks in AT&T’s coverage area over the next three years.
