FINALIST

CEPA Gallery’s community-based youth education program has been chosen as a finalist for the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award by the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities and its partner agencies. CEPA is one of 50 finalists among 379 programs from 49 states. The awards will be announced in late June and presented by first lady Michelle Obama during a White House ceremony.

BUBBLEFEST

A daylong celebration of everything bubbles, including a demonstration by the Corning Museum of Glass, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Buffalo Museum of Science, 1020 Humboldt Parkway. The event, which will expand into Martin Luther King Jr. Park with tents full of bubble activities, is included with general museum admission. FAMILY HISTORY CLUB
