Hilbert College selected Vincent O. Hanley to receive the Hilbert College Medal at the commencement ceremony Saturday. Hanley is a partner in the real estate group at Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel. He served on the board of trustees of Hilbert College from 2003 through 2012 and served a term as chairman of the board.

The University at Buffalo Campus Dining and Shops was recently presented the Sustainable Business Award, one of five awards, sponsored by Ecology & Environment, that make up the 2013 WNY Earth Day Awards. The entry submitted by UB Campus Dining and Shops detailed the design and execution of creating Crossroads Culinary Center as a LEED silver-certified building and the operation’s objectives of local construction, local food and materials purchasing, and on-site food waste composting.
