The Walden Galleria’s most recently announced tenant isn’t a restaurant or a retail outlet, it’s a go kart track.

Pole Position Raceway is revving up to open by the end of the year. The indoor racetrack features electric go karts that can speed up to 45 miles per hour. Patrons race side by side, competing against one another for first-, second- and third-place medals.

Nearby is a full arcade and space for private parties and corporate events. The entertainment complex will occupy 40,000 square feet on the mall’s second floor across from Regal Cinemas.

Local franchisees Eyal Farage and Karen Davis-Farage run locations in New Jersey and Syracuse. There are six other locations in California, Texas, Nevada, Oklahoma and Missouri. The chain was founded in Southern California in 2005 by motocross racers Ken Faught and Jason Williams.
