Vito M. Tibollo, of Depew, an Army veteran of World War II who later owned an auto service business, died Monday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after a brief illness. He was 88.
Born in Buffalo, Mr. Tibollo was a 1942 graduate of Burgard Vocational High School. He enlisted in the Army the following year and served in Europe as a grade T4 infantry sergeant with Company H, 119th Infantry Regiment.
From 1962 to 1987, he owned Tibollo’s One Star Auto Service on Grant Street in Buffalo.
His interests included gardening and bowling.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, the former Rose Laudico; a daughter, Barbara McLelland; and a son, Michael.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Margaret Catholic Church, 1395 Hertel Ave.
