CAMBRIA – A Buffalo man found dead in his car by the Niagara County Sheriff Department on Lockport Road Thursday morning has been identified as Eric Guzenski, 43.

Deputies investigating a suspicious vehicle just after 8 a.m. found Guzenski slumped over the wheel. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Niagara County Sheriff Investigator Charles Baker said Friday that the cause of death remains undetermined and authorities are awaiting a full autopsy. Baker said there were no signs of foul play.

“We are still trying to piece this thing together,” Baker said.

Niagara County Sheriff James R. Voutour said deputies were investigating a report of a suspicious car in the 3600 block of Lockport Road, between Shawnee and Mapleton roads and found the deceased.

“It looked like he just pulled over and died,” Voutour said.

He said Guzenski may have been there awhile, but no one noticed the man in the car because he was slumped over and could not be seen from the road.
