Collins needs to get to work creating jobs
Someone needs to tell Rep. Chris Collins that the Affordable Care Act has passed the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, been reviewed by the Supreme Court and signed by the re-elected President Obama. Collins has proudly introduced his first bill in Congress to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Does he know that there have been more than 40 repeal attempts already? Move on, Mr. Collins, do something useful in Congress. How about jobs?
Curiously in his newsletter and on his website, there is no mention of jobs whatsoever. Even when you attempt to email him, the drop-down screen for subject of the email does not include jobs. I say attempt to email, because even though Collins is my representative in Congress, he does not reply to emails to his office. Instead he sends another copy of his newsletter and ignores questions about topics like employment and creating jobs.
I sincerely hope that I will be represented by a congressman who does some good for the country and whose only purpose is not obstruction of any progress on the real problems of the country. We have endured gridlock long enough. With Collins as my representative, I am afraid I’m stuck with just another one of the many congressmen who are happy to see nothing accomplished. Obstruction is easy; governing is difficult!
