It turns out that a movie will be shooting in Ralph Wilson Stadium after all – and filmmakers have issued a casting call for extras this Sunday.

“The Best Man Holiday” – a Universal Pictures sequel to the 1999 film “The Best Man” – will be shot during the final week of May at the Bills’ stadium in Orchard Park.

The film will star Terrence Howard, Harold Perrineau, Regina Hall and Taye Diggs, and be directed by Malcolm D. Lee, cousin of director Spike Lee.

The comedy concerns a writer whose recent autobiography makes him a less-than-ideal choice to be best man at his friend’s wedding.

“We have been fielding a number of calls from bigger studios lately, and this one was one of them. They are looking for a lot of help from the Buffalo community,” said Tim Clark, who heads the Buffalo Niagara Film Commission.

“People who come out to the Ralph on Sunday will be photographed and cataloged, and the producers will go through and figure out who they need and when they need them.”

The casting call will take place at the stadium’s Healthy Zone Fieldhouse from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The casting call is for people who will be 18 or older by May 25.

Extras will be paid $120 per day.

In early March, “Draft Day” – which was to be based on a fictitious Bills general manager – was moved to Cleveland from Buffalo after the movie studio decided Ohio offered better financial incentives than those available in New York.
