Moraca, with the organization for 17 years, holds a bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo. Also, the organization promoted Mark Mika to assistant manager, ERS external operations. Mika attended Alfred State College and holds a three-year certificate from the School of Industrial & Labor Relations at Cornell University.


Everywoman Opportunity Center will present its Award of Excellence on Thursday in Salvatore’s Italian Gardens. The awardees are: Angela Jordan Mosely, executive director, Vive Inc.; Jill LaMantia, program manager, VA Women Veterans Program; and Crystal J. Rodriguez, executive director, City of Buffalo Commission on Citizens Rights. Also, Taija Cochran will receive the Elizabeth B. Hopkins Alumna Award, and Verizon will receive the Partner in Self-Sufficiency Award.


Cleveland BioLabs appointed Dr. Jean Viallet chief development officer; Gillian Miller senior director of regulatory affairs; and Judith Schnyder director of clinical operations. Viallet established Viallet Oncology Consulting after serving as the chief medical officer of Precision Therapeutics. Miller worked as a consultant with SciLucent, providing regulatory, product development and project management services for small and large companies. Schnyder consulted on Phase I–IV oncology trials through her own firm, JAS Clinical Consulting.
