Alpha Sigma Alpha Buffalo Alumnae will hold its Spring Brunch at noon Saturday at YOLO Restaurant in East Amherst.
President Marcia Goldstein will share the upcoming ASA Day of Reflection, a June full-day event, with the members.
The Women’s Club of Orchard Park will have its installation of officers at noon May 8 in LaGalleria Restaurant. Former president Beverly Leek will install the officers: president, Mary Jane Boncoldo; first vice president, Gloria Pfohl; second vice president, Paula Colby; recording secretary, Jean Klompp; corresponding secretary, Carol Thornton; and treasurer, Judy Horan.
The Western New York Federation of Women’s Clubs’ 23rd annual Helen P. Kelley Memorial Art Show will be held May 17 at the Holland Community Center. Entries will be accepted from clubwomen and participating schools from 9 a.m. until noon. Entry forms should be brought with the art work. Winning entries from the 2013 WNYFWC Creative Writing Contest will also be on display. The public is welcome.
The group also will have its 117th annual convention May 18 at Michael’s Banquet Facility, 4885 Southwestern Blvd, Hamburg. A coffee hour and registration begin at 9 a.m,, followed by a business meeting during which election of officers will be held.
Michael Vogel, author and former Buffalo News editorial page editor, will speak about the Buffalo Canal Zone. A memorial service for members who died in the past year will be held before the 12:30 p.m. luncheon, and scholarship winners will be introduced afterward.
