The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra has partnered with M&T Bank and the New York City United Way to send underprivileged youth from the New York City area to the BPO’s May 8 performance in Carnegie Hall.

The entities are inviting members of the public to each donate $28.50 to cover the cost of a ticket. M&T Bank, the lead corporate sponsor of the BPO’s appearance in Carnegie Hall, will match each donation in order to send an additional student to the concert. The United Way of New York City will distribute the tickets.

Meanwhile, the BPO will match every ticket purchased in this manner with a complimentary ticket for a student from Buffalo to attend the hometown previews of the Carnegie Hall concert, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. For the price of one ticket, three students will be able to attend one of the previews.
