TOWN OF GERRY – A 19-year-old Orchard Park woman was charged with driving too closely and may face additional charges for a three vehicle crash that heavily damaged two passenger cars and lightly damaged a Cassadaga Valley School bus carrying seven children on Router 60 in this township about 8:08 a.m. today, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office.
Danna L. Neureuther admitted she was not paying attention when the school bus operated by Scott A. McKinney, 56, of Gerry, stopped at Route 60 and Wilson Road to pick up more students. Neureuther struck the rear of the car of Allen L. Thomas, 29, of Fredonia, who had stopped behind the school bus. Both the Neureuther and Thomas vehicles were heavily damaged but the school bus suffered only minor damage and no school children were injured. Thomas complained of shoulder pain and was treated at the scene by Gerry Rescue personnel.
