An informational meeting will be held Tuesday for parents who have registered their children for kindergarten in the Lake Shore Central School District this fall.

The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the Middle School, 8855 Erie Road.

Parents will have an opportunity to hear from school personnel, including a principal, nurse, teachers and school counselor.

Parents of new kindergarten students are asked to attend the two-hour program as part of the registration process.

All registration materials were supposed to be submitted by Friday. For more information contact any of the elementary school offices.

• The Evans Town Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall, 8787 Erie Road. An agenda meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Resolutions on the agenda include hiring a new crossing guard at Highland Elementary School and requiring new town employees to sign a release authorizing a criminal background check by the Police Department to meet state guidelines.

There’s also a request to close Holland Road, between Erie and Hardpan roads, for two days in May to shoot scenes for a local movie. If approved by the board, the road would be closed from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on May 17 and 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on May 23.
