Orchard Park Middle School students and staff attended school with an increased presence Wednesday after a threat was discovered in a bathroom earlier this week.
Superintendent Matthew McGarrity told parents in a letter that Orchard Park Police increased their presence in and around the Middle School and the district as a whole.
The threat, written on a bathroom stall in the Middle School, was discovered after school Tuesday, and police were immediately contacted, the superintendent said.
“All threats to our school community are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly,” he said in the letter.
Residents are asked to contact Orchard Park Police if they have information to assist in the investigation.
