SANBORN – Comedian, political commentator and radio talk show hostess Stephanie Miller will deliver the keynote address May 11 at Niagara County Community College’s commencement exercises. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the main gym on the Sanborn campus.

Miller grew up in Lockport, the daughter of former Republican Rep. Bill Miller, who was Barry Goldwater’s vice presidential running mate in 1964. After earning a degree in theater from the University of Southern California, she pursued a career as a stand-up comic, then went into radio, starting with WLVL in Lockport in the early 1980s.

Her politically progressive talk program, “The Stephanie Miller Show,” is produced in Los Angeles and is heard in 64 markets, including Buffalo, where she is on the air from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday on WWKB 1520 AM.

“We are excited to have one of the leading voices in national talk radio addressing our graduates,” NCCC President James P. Klyczek said.
