Let food truck owners make an honest living
I would like to comment on a recent letter that ridiculed the food truck owners in Buffalo. They should be allowed to make an honest living like any other business owner. Free enterprise means the opportunity to compete in small and larger business practices.
Most people seem to enjoy the convenience of sidewalk dining, especially on a lunch break or just to try a different menu choice. Food trucks are popular in other cities and have become an enjoyable trend. There are many fine dining restaurants, pizzerias and fast-food restaurants throughout Western New York. My question is: Why shouldn’t food truck vendors be allowed to provide their business if they are adhering to all regulations and ordinances set forth? An area does not progress if it is not willing to participate in new endeavors.
