GOLF: The Police Athletic League of Buffalo will hold its annual charity clinic from 5:30-8:30 p.m. May 1 at the Wehrle Golf Dome, 8230 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville. The event includes unlimited golf balls for the indoor and outdoor driving ranges, free instruction and tips from area golf professionals, miniature golf and pizza, wings and drinks. Tickets are $25 and all proceeds benefit the PAL Youth Summer Golf programs. Preregistration is encouraged and tickets may be purchased by calling the PAL office at 851-4615 or at www.buffalopal.com.
GYMNASTICS: The 2013 Spring Graffiti Invitational will be held at the Buffalo Niagara Court Center, 425 Meyer Road, West Seneca from Friday to Sunday. The public is invited to view all competition sessions. Sessions are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $9 for adults 18 and older and $5 for children 5-18. Children 4 and under will be admitted for free. More than 500 gymnasts are scheduled to compete in this state qualifying invitational.
HOCKEY: The Buffalo Sabres Alumni hockey team will play a charity fundraiser against Colvin Cleaners at 3 p.m. Sunday at Holiday Twin Rinks, 3465 Broadway, Cheektowaga. The beneficiary charity is Paradise House. Tickets are $10 at the door and can also be purchased at Colvin Cleaners, 2375 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore; Custom Edge, 2889 Sheridan Drive; Dan the Sign Man, 22 Pequet Pkwy., Tonawanda and GFY Grill, 1866 Colvin Blvd. ... LACROSSE: Hamburg girls lacrosse is hosting youth clinics from noon-2 p.m. starting this Sunday, and also April 27 and May 11 at the Howe Field Turf. Clinics are for girls in grades 1-6, beginners through advanced. Cost is $20 for one session or $50 for all three. Contact Tom Ryan, 3649 Bonnie Lane, Hamburg, N.Y. 14075 with checks payable to Hamburg Girls Lacrosse to preregister. Walk-ups will be accepted on clinic days. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and sticks and goggles will be provided to players without them. Players are asked to bring their own mouthguard, water bottle and appropriate footwear.
SOFTBALL: The Aurora Legends 35 and over slow-pitch league is accepting new teams and individuals for its Saturday afternoon league. The league plays every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at West Falls Park in the Town of Aurora. Play is scheduled for June 1-Aug. 24. TENNIS: The Les Nassoiy Tennis League is seeking new players and new teams for the 2013 season. This doubles league plays at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the tennis courts in Hyde Park in Niagara Falls. The league schedule runs from May 30 through July. New teams are welcome to register by May 16. The cost is $50 per team, and a minimum of four players is needed. Individual players are also welcome.
