The Lackawanna City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in City Hall, 714 Ridge Road, Lackawanna to discuss two new proposed ordinances and several other agenda items.
Third Ward Councilman Joseph Jerge has submitted a request for an ordinance that would abolish or amend the municipal code that allows property owners at least 60 days to meet code requirements. Second Ward Councilwoman Annette Iafallo has asked the Council to approve an ordinance to restrict commercial vehicles on Nason Parkway.
City Assessor Frank Krakowski also has recommended that the city sell 622 Ridge Road. Potential buyer Rosemary Scahill has offered $6,000 for the property, which she intends to demolish.

The board of education of the Lackawanna City School District will hold its monthly work session at 7 p.m. Monday in the superintendent’s conference room 202 at 245 South Shore Boulevard. The board’s regular monthly business meeting will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium of Martin Road Elementary School, 135 Martin Road.
