The Keller Quartet was formed in Budapest in 1987 at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and is said to have all the spirit and fire that its birthplace evokes. The musicians have performed in major venues throughout the world, including New York, where they were recently acclaimed by the New York Times.
Tuesday, the quartet will perform music by Shostakovich, Mozart and Tchaikovsky in Kleinhans Music Hall’s Mary Seaton Room, courtesy of the Buffalo Chamber Music Society. It is appearing in place of the Pavel Haas Quartet, who had to cancel because of illness. – Mary Kunz Goldman
