NORTH TONAWANDA – Patricia F. Becht of North Tonawanda, a longtime medical secretary and community volunteer, died March 29 in Northgate Health Care Facility. She was 79.
Born in Buffalo, the former Patricia LoBue earned a bachelor’s degree in 1955 from the former Rosary Hill College. She worked as an administrative secretary in the radiology department of Buffalo General Hospital for seven years, and for 12 years she worked as secretary to Dr. George Cohn, a noted neurosurgeon.
For many years, she volunteered for Shea’s Performing Arts Center and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan D’Arcy and Elizabeth Caruana; a son, Joseph; and two sisters, Rosemary Spano and Sally Roberts.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered April 1 in St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd.
